We were contracted to design and fabricate a mechanical lifting/rotating device for a 10 ton volute housing. In addition to the weight, the off set centre of gravity of the housing was the challenge. Prior to our involvement, the client handled the housing with chains and wire rope which was both dangerous and time consuming. We provided the client with a safe & cost effective solution which they now can market along with their pumps.
SCOOP TRAMP
We were asked to help plan and dismantle a scoop tramp to fit a certain size mine shaft. Careful consideration had to be given to ease of re-assembly once brought underground.

Our dual plasmas are powered by 2 Hypertherm HPR 400 HD and supported by MTC ProNest 2010 software which greatly enhances production of high definition quality parts. There are less than 15 HPR 400 HD currently operational in Canada and City Welding possesses 2 of them. Also, we are one of the 1st companies in North America to run the new MTC ProNest 2010 true hole technology software combined with the Hypertherm and Messer systems.
Our system has the capability to edge start 3” and pierce 2” mild steel. As for stainless and aluminum, our plasma can cut up to 1” 3/4” production. We also have 2 of Messer’s Alpha Torches which can oxy fuel cut up to 10” Mild Steel, again with impeccable precision.
