A Family Run Business since 1972.

At City Welding, we come by our outstanding integrity and commitment to our clients naturally. City Welding was founded by Georges Brouillette, who, after gaining his journeyman’s papers in Toronto, returned to Sudbury to find employment. When he was refused the job he wanted, he was undeterred. Instead, he returned the next day and again the next, arriving at the job site even before the owner. Georges got the job he wanted, and has spent the rest of his life setting and achieving lofty goals.

In 1972, Georges realized that the only way to really put his skills to use and satisfy his thirst for challenge was to found his own company. He started small, but his dedication to quality work became apparent and word spread quickly. City Welding now has 3 facilities and 35 employees, each of whom is an integral part of the company.

Georges has recently been joined by his son Robert, who has exchanged a 10-year career in law to help run the family business. While Robert’s main focus is on the administration and management side of the business, both he and Georges continue to work alongside their employees.
